Woolley, Labelle and Dillon Lead All TOC at Carter Invitational

Toronto, ON (April 30, 2010) - Ali Woolley, Eric Labelle and Eric Dillon highlight many outstanding finishes by TOC athletes at the Cardinal Carter HS Invitational. Ali won the Junior Girls 3000m and was second in the 1500m. Eric (L) won the Senior Boys 3000m and was fourth in the Steeplechase. Eric Dillon placed second in the Senior Boys 1500m and was third in the 800m. Natalie Biringer was third in the Junior Girls 800m. For complete results please use the link below.

2010 Hall of Fame Inductee: Paul Poce

A groundbreaking athletics coach, Paul Poce founded the distinguished Toronto Olympic Club in 1954. Toronto's oldest running club remains a force in Canadian high performance sport.

Paul Poce Poce is a long-time national coach, an expert in distance running. He has been a Canadian Team member at a long list of major international events. He was head athletics coach for Canada at the Barcelona 1992 Olympic Games, and distance coach for the 1972 and 1976 Olympic Games in Munich and Montreal. He would have continued that role in 1980, but for the boycott.

Khan Leads All On Busy Race Weekend

Ottawa, ON (March 6, 2010)- Saheed Khan set an indoor 3000m personal best winning the Ottawa Super Series race on Saturday. The accomplishment was significant given second place was over 30 seconds behind.

Athletics Ontario Bantam/Midget/Junior Indoor Championships

Toronto, ON (March 6, 2010)- The Athletics Ontario Bantam/Midget/Junior Indoor Championships were also conducted this past weekend and there were many promising results. TOC athletes secured 8 top ten performances and a many more personal best performances. Eric Dillon and Mackenzie Lemieux led the way with a bronze medal performance each; Eric in the JM 1500m and Mackenzie in the MG 1200m. Other top ten performers include Mackenzie in the MG 800m (10th), Morgan Rammo in the JW 800m (10th), Eric Dillon in the JM 800m (7th), Megan Beverley in the JW 3000m (5th), and Daniel Turino in the BB 1200m (5th) and BB 800m (4th). Congratulations to all!
