TOC Assistant Coach - Jennie Biewald

Jennie Biewald was a successful competitive runner throughout her high school and collegiate years.  She represented Canada 3 times as a Junior, competing in the 800m at World Youths in Marrakech, Morocco, the 1500m at World Juniors in Beijing, China and NACAC cross country in Orlando Florida.  Jennie won several Ofsaa medals throughout her high school career including an Ofsaa gold in the 800m.  She is also a former Canadian Youth record holder in the 800m.  Jennie earned a full scholarship to the University of Michigan where she competed for two years before transferring to the University of Guelph.  At Guelph Jennie was a CIS silver medalist in the 1500m and was captain of the women’s cross country and track team in her final year (2011-2012).  Today Jennie is a proud “rec runner” who loves to go on long runs and jump in the odd workout to get her butt kicked by her athletes.

Jennie earned her degree in Human Kinetics from Guelph and is currently working on a nutrition degree at Ryerson University.  She plans to become a registered dietician and specialize in sports nutrition.  Jennie started coaching so that she could nurture young talent and continue to be involved in the sport she loves.  She is passionate about track and field and enjoys working with athletes of all ages and ability levels.
